Sharing a (Pizza) Slice of Happiness in Huyton Village

The atrocious weather of Wednesday January 6th 2010 meant that we had some some spare stock and were able to share a little pizza lurve with some customers and passers by.

It's not much fun when you are a delivery business that cannot deliver properly but it was nice to be able to bring a smile to people's faces!

We are pleased to say that after being forced to close last night due to the snow and ice we have today (Wednesday) re-opened for Collection Orders and, hopefully, for deliveries this evening too.

And because you all missed out on Two For Tuesday we will be doing Two For Wednesday - buy any Medium or Large Pizza and get another to the same value or less absolutely FREE!

Update 20/01/10 - it would appear I need to clarify that Two for Wednesday was only valid on 06/01/10. This was a special offer we did that day to reward all our customers who were unable to order on the Tuesday and also of course to use up the hundreds of poundsworth of perishable stock that we make our pizzas with. Unfortunately it is not valid any more, as we used up/discarded our stock. However we are doing lots of other special offers which are almost as good. Domino's Pizza Huyton Forced to Postpone Two For Tuesday Promotion Due to Adverse Weather Conditions

As you are all aware Merseyside and Lancashire were hit by some terrible weather conditions on Tuesday January 5th 2010.

The radio and television have been full of stories of treacherous roads and of people being unable to get into work, of abandoned cars and school closures.

Well, we've been hit too.

Although we had some valiant efforts from our staff, (Matt the boss set off on foot from Billinge before being picked up by a passing motorist), and we managed to open on time, unfortunately we took the decision to close early due to the weather conditions.

Having driven around the area, suffered numerous wheelspins, witnessed several minor accidents and even got stuck in the snow at the back of our other shop in St Helens for 30 minutes we realised that for the sake of driver and staff safety we had no alternative but to close for the day.

And what a day for it to happen on - Two For Tuesday!

Obviously as I write this (at 6pm), we have no way of knowing when we will be able to re-open but we hope it will be on Wednesday or Thursday.

And when we do, we will be having a Grand Re-Openiing Offer along the same lines as Two for Tuesday - and depending on how much stock there is to shift, it could be even better!
